Following a number of years working abroad, Niall established Carra in 1993 to supply personal protective equipment to public and private organisations throughout Ireland.

In the late 1990's the business diversified into intelligent transport solutions (ITS) , by supplying systems and services on projects such as the roll out of Cork's "Urban Transport Control" system and a range of services during the LUAS light rail construction process in Dublin.

Current Carra projects include provision of 24/7/365 services on Dublin's M50 Free-Flow tolling project, Dublin Port Tunnel and M 1 toll plaza's, as well as Garda safety cameras, National Roads Authority IT systems development and the roll out of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in collaboration with ESB ecars, Nissan, Renault Ireland and a number of other key stakeholders.

Carra have recently opened a support office near Oxford offering supply, installation and maintenance services for the growing EV infrastructure rollout throughout the UK.

Niall is an entrepreneur and runs Carra as a growing, mature and agile enterprise with diverse revenue streams and well adapted to the challenges of doing business in Ireland and overseas. His customers appreciate his hands-on approach and describe Carra as "big enough to do the job - small enough to care".
