We design, build and deploy bespoke systems to address traffic-related requirements such as automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) enabled car park technologies, speed and safety systems, tolling systems, variable message signage and electric vehicle charging systems. 

We also build bespoke solutions and integrate technologies such as automatic booms with payment machines or ANPR cameras with backend applications databases.

ANPR Parking Solution

 

A large hotel at Dublin Airport approached Carra to design a bespoke system to reduce the level of payment evasion by users of its Airport Park and Ride shuttle service. In certain cases customers were using the car park for long periods and attempting to pay for only a few hours when leaving. Furthermore, to mitigate security issues it was desirable to know who was entering the car park. The requirement was to recognise licence plates across two road lanes in opposing directions and capture the data for and provide online activity and parking revenue projection reports.
