Carra has been awarded the 2018 SBIR for Water Bathing Quality Project. Niall Doonan, Managing Director of Carra, was present at the official press release today. This marks the official start to the project with which Carra hopes to provide an innovative product for remote sampling and data collection.
This project is backed by Enterprise Ireland and involves Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and Waterford City and County Council who are seeking a low cost, innovative, and technological solution in the form of products, services or applications to address timely identification and communication of bathing water contamination. Carra is one of four companies who has been awarded the Phase One innovation contracts to develop our solution.
The Phase One funding will allow Carra to carry out a feasibility study and develop a prototype for the solution that we are proposing.
